The Experience of Sand Play...

The Personal Journey

From the moment you enter the safe and expansive world of Sand Play for the Soul, you are invited to participate in an adventure unlike any other. Following the welcoming introduction, we prepare you for the session by guiding you through a simple and relaxing visualization to help calm the mind. Next we set the intent for the session. Then you are invited to select from a myriad of aesthetic, quality miniatures, from the spiritual and symbolic to the everyday realms of the human, animal and earth kingdom… to create your scene. How and what you select is at your sole discretion. You are the “master creator” and the world is yours to form into being.

Once the scene is created, you are gently facilitated through a non-threatening process. Shortly after, your scene starts to come to life. A deep and eternal voice inside you awakens.

You discover, “Never before have I seen things so clear and felt so connected to something so alive and aware. What once made no sense and seemed impossible to resolve is not so confusing or difficult.” As you view your world from a whole new perspective you begin to dialogue with this powerful and knowing internal resource.

The Group Experience…

A gentleman who attended one of my workshops wrote in a testimonial his Sand Play story…

“I was brought to a house somewhere in Sedona, Arizona… All I was told is that I was going to play in the sand. As I arrived, people of different backgrounds began to show up.... Paula came in and explained a few things about what was about to happen and then asked everyone to pair off and step into “the sandbox room.”… Against the wall I saw a gentleman and felt that was where I belonged. I went over and introduced myself and we talked a bit.

“Paula explained how the sand play worked. All of us were to pick from toys, knickknacks and other figurines around the room, separately, and then go back to our sandboxes and put a scene together. My first thought was this is silly. I wondered how this was going to help anyone.

“But something happened during this sand play which was transforming. Even though my partner, Mike, and I didn’t know anything about each other and picked our miniatures separately, and even worked in the sandbox separately, a picture was appearing that explained many things that were going on in both Mike’s and my lives.

“I was able to find meaning in things that I normally took for granted. Paula then worked with each group member and had everyone describe what type of metamorphosis took place for them. This became exhilarating and fun. I would recommend “sand play” with Paula for anyone who feels stuck in a void of life. It will awaken your spirit and make your heart happy."
